STEM & Robotics for Educators

PIC 882025851

Place: Mytilene, Lesvos Island, Greece

Robotics has become an increasingly important educational tool in the classroom, offering a wide range of benefits for students across various subjects. Robotics can be used to teach programming and coding skills, as well as engineering and mechanics. Robotics also promotes problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, as students are challenged to design, build, and program their own robots. Additionally, robotics can be used in other subjects such as mathematics and physics, where students can apply concepts such as motion, force, and angles to their designs. Through robotics, students can also learn important soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, as they work together to build and program their robots. Robotics can also be used to promote diversity and inclusion in the classroom, as it provides opportunities for all students to participate and succeed, regardless of their background or abilities. Moreover, robotics can be used to spark students’ interest in STEM fields and inspire them to pursue careers in these areas. Overall, robotics provides a fun and engaging way for students to learn about various subjects, while also developing important skills for their future success.

In this course, we use ready-made robots created for educational purposes like the mBot by MakeBlock, or the LEGO Mindstorms, but we are also going to use simple, easy-to-find materials to create our own robots based on Arduino creative platform.

At the same time, you come into contact with the culture of the region, get to know a borderline area of southeastern Europe, and live new experiences!
